"Legal action has been started, Gurugram Police is with family": DLF Gurugram ACP, Vikas Kaushik

Gurugram (Haryana) [India], September 20 : After a 22-year-old biker died in a collision with a car driving from the wrong side, the police officials said while consolidating their support to the family said that a legal action has been started after registering a case under the law.
The incident occurred last Sunday, September 15, at around 6 am.
Speaking to ANI, ACP DLF Gurugram Vikas Kaushik said, "This incident happened last Sunday, the deceased was going on his motorcycle near Cyber City and a black coloured vehicle came from the wrong side, due to which he had an accident and died on the spot. He was taken to the hospital but from there he was declared dead. So in this regard, we have started legal action and after registering a case under the law, we are taking further action."
According to the police, the deceased rode bikes as a hobby.
"The deceased was a 22-year-old young man who worked in a private company and he had come here with his friends in the morning and at that time this tragic incident happened to him. As far as we know, he was the only son of the family. I want to give message that Gurugram Police is with family. We will definitely take whatever action is required under the law. He was a biker and rode bikes as a hobby and because it was Sunday, these people came on Sunday and rode around their village and nearby areas on bikes," said ACP Kaushik.
The police officials also said that they have taken the blood sample of the accused and if any trace for alcohol is found, then a "necessary course of action" will be taken against them.
Speaking on the accused the Police said, "The 25-year-old accused said that he was driving on the wrong side to save his time. We are investigating the cause; however, no points can justify driving on the wrong side. Also, Gurugram Police takes strict action against those who break the traffic rules. In the last month, the Gurugram Police issued 16,000+ challans for wrong-side driving. We have done their medical and taken their blood sample. If any trace for alcohol is found, then we will take necessary course of action, currently report is pending for the same."
ACP of DLF Gurugram Vikas Kaushik also dismissed the family's claim of not getting support from the police and said that no special treatment or concession has been given to anyone and if the family still feels that some kind of suspicion, we request them to meet us and we will tell them everything.
"There is no question of giving special treatment or concession to anyone at any moment, as in such cases, we investigate through SOPs, no any special treatment or concession has been given to anyone. If the family still feels that some kind of suspicion, we request them to meet us and we will tell them everything, will show the files and tell about the procedures to satisfy that independent investigation is being conducted," said ACP Kaushik.
Earlier in the day, the mother of the biker demanded justice for her son and accused police of not helping them.
Mother of the biker who died in a collision, said, "I want justice for my son. A wrong person killed my son. My only question is why was he released on bail? My son is no more but he (accused) slept peacefully that night...Why is the police not helping us?..."
