Sudesh Kumar Verma, President of J&K Cine Association acknowledged the importance of such film festivals for filmmakers in Jammu and Kashmir.
"Talent is talent, we used to have no chance to show it. So we have provided this platform so that the common public can get a place for artists and others so that they can show themselves. Apart from this, it also awakens the government that like we are providing platforms, you too have some help because films are made with money and we have a lot of financial constraints. If we provide financial support to artists, then our film policy will work very well and our artists will also get good work." said Sudesh Kumar Verma.
On the occasion, the Lieutenant Governor released a brochure of 'Tawi Filmotsva'. The event was also attended by renowned artists, filmmakers and members of J&K Cine Association.
