Ludhiana (Punjab) [India], May 30 : As the Lok Sabha elections approached its final phase, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) intensified its outreach efforts, targeting industries and their workers in a bid to secure crucial votes.
In the bustling industrial city of Ludhiana, AAP leaders, including Fatehgarh Sahib MLA, have been actively engaging with the workforce to rally support for their party.
In a significant move, AAP's Lok Sabha candidate for Fatehgarh Sahib, Gurpreet Singh GP, visited several factories in Ludhiana on Thursday.
Addressing the workers, Gurpreet appealed to the voters and urged them to cast their votes early in the morning due to the soaring temperatures expected on election day "because your vote is your voice".
"We visited multiple industries today alongside our Lok Sabha candidate," stated Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora who accompanied Gurpreet Singh here.
"Both industrialists and workers have expressed their satisfaction with the AAP government in Punjab. Major relief measures, such as free electricity and various welfare schemes under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, have been well-received by the people of Punjab," he added.
Arora's presence underscores the party's commitment to securing support from Ludhiana's vital industrial sector as the election reaches its final phase.
The visit is part of AAP's broader strategy to connect with the working class, highlighting the party's commitment to labour rights and industry reforms. By engaging directly with the industrial workforce, AAP aims to underscore its grassroots approach and dedication to addressing the concerns of everyday citizens.
Major industries are situated in Ludhiana Loksabha constituency and Fatehgarh Sahib constituency.
The Ludhiana seat is witnessing a multi-cornered contest among the Bharatiya Janata Party leader and two-time Ludhiana MP Ravneet Singh Bittu, Punjab Congress Chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring and Aam Aadmi Party leader Ashok Parashar Pappi. Shiromani Akali Dal has fielded Ranjit Singh Dhillon as the party's candidate from Ludhiana.
The campaign in Ludhiana, known for its extensive manufacturing sector, reflects AAP's recognition of the city's electoral significance. The party hopes that personal interactions and targeted messaging will resonate with the voters, translating into a strong turnout on election day.
As the final phase of campaigning intensified, AAP continued to emphasize its key promises, including enhanced worker benefits, better working conditions, and comprehensive economic reforms aimed at boosting industrial growth.
With the temperature rising, both literally and metaphorically, the upcoming phase of the Lok Sabha elections promises to be a fiercely contest. AAP's proactive engagement with Ludhiana's industrial workers is a strategic move to ensure that their voices are heard and their votes counted.
