Adelaide [Australia], December 7 : Following the end of play on Day 2 of the day-night (pink-ball) Test at Adelaide, former India cricketer Sunil Gavaskar spoke on top Australian batter Travis Head's innings and his mentality.
Head played an exceptional innings of 140 runs from 141 balls at a strike rate of 99.29 which was laced with 17 boundaries and 4 maximums in his innings.
"Well, because you see, I think it's a difference in attitude. Where you look at every ball as a scoring opportunity, which is what he does. Which is what Rishabh Pant also does. He looks at every ball as a scoring opportunity. Your attitude, your bat speed, everything has got to be different. Where there are others who are looking at a delivery and maybe preserving their wicket. Which means their bat speed is going to be different, their attitude towards the ball is going to be different. And Travis Head, why is he so popular? Why is he so dangerous? It's because he looks at everything as a scoring opportunity. And he's successful more often than not. Particularly against India," Gavaskar said while speaking to Star Sports.
Travis Head also shattered day-night Test records at Adelaide, continuing his golden run against India.
During Australia's first inning at the Adelaide Test, Head played a 140-run knock from 141 balls at a strike rate of 99.29 to achieve the milestone.
With his ton on Saturday, Head became the second batter with most hundreds in day-night Test cricket. As of now, the 30-year-old has three centuries in pink-ball Tests. Head's compatriot Marnus Labuschagne holds the top spot with four centuries in day-night Test cricket.
Head also set the landmark of the fastest centuries in day-night Tests, the Aussie batter only took 111 balls to smash a stupendous hundred at the Adelaide Oval.

Across all formats against India, Head has made 1,555 runs in 29 matches and 38 innings at an average of 44.42, with three centuries and six fifties and the best score of 163.
