LoP Jai Ram Thakur criticises "deteriorating condition" of Himachal Pradesh under Cong govt

Mandi (Himachal Pradesh) [India], February 12 : Former Himachal Chief Minister and leader of the opposition Jai Ram Thakur on Tuesday slammed the "deteriorating condition" of the state under the Congress government.
He stated that development projects in the state have come to a standstill, and employees are resorting to protests on the streets for their salaries as the government has taken a loan of Rs 14,000 crores in 14 months, yet lacks funds to pay salaries next month.
Attending the annual program of the Saraj Students Welfare Association in Mandi, Thakur declared that the opposition is fully prepared for the upcoming budget session and will vehemently oppose the wrong decisions of the state government. He criticised the recent decision to pardon former sailors sentenced to death in Qatar, emphasizing the impact of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's global leadership.
Thakur also commended Modi's government for releasing a white paper against the previous Uttar Pradesh government during its term. He credited PM Modi's effective leadership for steering the country away from the cycle of mismanagement and towards global recognition.
Speaking at the cultural event hosted by the Saraj Students Welfare Association, Thakur commended the participants for their efforts and recognized individuals who demonstrated excellence in diverse fields. The event saw the presence of notable political figures, such as MLA Dr. Janak Raj, esteemed guest Surajmani, community representative Somesh Upadhyay, BJP district president Munish Kapoor, BJP leader Tej Singh, and Chaman Mehta, the president of the Saraj Students Welfare Association, along with other distinguished guests.
