Maharashtra: BJP's Satyapal Singh confident of party victory, says people believe in 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas'

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], November 5 : BJP leader Satyapal Singh on Tuesday, speaking to ANI said that BJP is confident of winning in the upcoming assembly election and the government has currently invested Rs850 crores to combat cybercrime and ensure security in the state.
"The BJP's mantra is "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas". Our government prioritizes security and safety, and terrorism is under control, except for a few incidents in Jammu Kashmir and Punjab. The Maharashtra government is working hard to maintain law and order in the state. Additionally, the government has invested Rs850 crores to combat cybercrime, which has become a significant concern, and is committed to addressing this issue," he said.
Maharashtra has 288 assembly constituencies, and the BJP is part of the ruling Mahayuti alliance comprising Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction) and Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).
A total of 4,426 nomination papers of 3,259 candidates have been filed till October 28 for the elections on 288 constituencies of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, according to a release from the office of Maharashtra's Chief Election Officer.
Maharashtra elections will be held in a single phase on November 20 with counting of votes held on November 23. In the 2019 assembly elections in Maharashtra, the BJP won 105 seats, the Shiv Sena 56, and the Congress 44. In 2014, the BJP secured 122 seats, the Shiv Sena 63, and the Congress 42.
Opposition MVA, comprising of Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT) and the Nationalist Congress Party (SCP), is looking to reclaim power in the state against the Mahayuti alliance, which consists of three parties--Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Ajit Pawar-led NCP.
