Man arrested for alleged threats against Maharashtra Deputy CM Fadnavis

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], March 3 : Mumbai Police have arrested a 34-year-old man for allegedly making 'life-threatening and derogatory' remarks against Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, officials said.
According to police, the accused, Kinchak Navale, was apprehended by the Santacruz Police on Sunday.
Police registered a case against Navale reportedly after a complaint filed by an activist from the Shinde group.
Officials stated that the accused has been remanded to police custody until March 7.
"We have arrested a 34-year-old man named Kinchak Navale from Satara for making life-threatening and derogatory remarks against Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis," they said.
This marks the second arrest in the case after Nationalist Congress Party - Sharadchandra Pawar's Yogesh Sawant was apprehended last week.
"This is the second arrest in the case. The accused was produced in court after arrest, where he was remanded to police custody until March 7," they added.
