This move marked the first direct discussions between Kuki, Meitei, and Naga representatives, highlighting the Centre's commitment to facilitating dialogue between the fractured communities.
The talks, organised by the Ministry of Home Affairs, were held in the national capital in the presence of senior ministry officials, MLAs, and ministers from the Kuki-Zo-Hmar, Meitei, and Naga communities.
"The meeting unanimously resolved to appeal to all communities in the state to shun violence so that no more innocent lives are lost," the MHA said in a statement issued after the meeting.
