"Matter of great pride and honour," says NSA Ajit Doval on being conferred with D.Litt

Bathinda (Punjab) [India], March 20 : Upon receiving a Doctorate in Literature (D.Litt) from the Central University of Punjab, Bathinda, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval expressed gratitude for the award and underscored the importance of youth engagement in nation-building.
Ajit Doval, the national security adviser, was conferred with a doctorate degree in literature (D Litt) in the presence of former President Ram Nath Kovind.
He said, " "This award is a matter of great pride and honour for me."
Addressing the students, Doval said, "I must say that all of you are very lucky. You are fortunate to belong to a generation who is going to see a very powerful, very prosperous and progressive India."
Further motivating the students he said, "You will shape the future of our nation It is not important what the nation has done for your growth, education and self-actualisation. What is more important is what the country expects from you. You have to make a better India."
Ajit Doval is a retired Indian Police Services (IPS) officer of the Kerala cadre and a former Indian intelligence and law enforcement officer.
Meanwhile, Doval on Monday emphasised the importance of strategic partnerships in regional security at the International Strategic Engagement Programme (IN STEP), explicitly curated as a two-week strategic engagement at the National Defence College (NDC) New Delhi under the aegis of National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS) and Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
Doval delivered the keynote address to the 29 international delegates from 21 countries and 8 Indian officers and underscored the importance of strategic partnerships in regional security and a collaborative approach towards nation building process.
