Minor girl gang-raped in MP's Gwalior

Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh) [India], January 31 : A 16-year-old girl was allegedly gang raped by three unidentified persons in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior district, a police official said on Wednesday.
The incident occurred in a village under the jurisdiction of Bhanwarpura police station in the district on Tuesday night. The accused also assaulted the parents of the minor girl, the police added.
Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Gajendra Vardhaman told ANI "An incident occurred with a minor girl and her family in a village under Bhanwarpura police station limits in the district on Tuesday night in which the minor was gang raped and her parents were assaulted. In this regard, the police registered a case against three unknown accused under IPC section 323, 376, 376d, 458, 506 and POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act and started investigation into the matter."
Currently, the police are continuously making efforts to nab unknown accused into the matter as soon as possible. Nonetheless, the police detained a suspect into the matter and is being interrogated, the officer said.
Further investigation into the matter is underway, he added.
