While speaking at the 'Laghu Udyog Bharati' meeting of the Gujarat region at Vadodara, Bhupendra Patel said, "Under the leadership of PM Modi, India has become the fifth-largest economic power in the world. This organization (Laghu Udyog Bharati) is working to increase production and employment in the country."
"The Prime Minister initiated the Ease of Doing Business and Make in India campaigns, which have made us self-reliant. Today, we are the largest manufacturers of mobile phones. It provides guidance to small industries," the Gujarat CM said.

Further highlighting the significance of innovation and technology, he said, "Through innovation and encouragement, new technologies are being developed in the country, benefiting small industries. We are moving forward in the direction of Make for the World."
He termed the Micro, Small, & Medium Enterprise (MSME) sector as the backbone of the country, adding that the MSMEs have gained momentum.
"With increased investment in Gujarat, MSMEs have gained momentum. The budget also places special emphasis on MSMEs. MSMEs are the backbone of the country's development. I urge that this organisation communicate the state government's policies to the people," he said.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the 114th episode of Mann Ki Baat, stated that the MSMEs benefitted from the 'Make in India' campaign.
"Today, it gives me immense joy to see that the poor, the middle class, and MSMEs are getting a lot of benefit from the 'Make in India' campaign. This campaign has provided an opportunity for people of every class to showcase their talent. Today, India has become a manufacturing powerhouse, and it is because of the youth power of the country that the whole world is looking up to us," PM Modi said.
"Be it automobiles, textiles, aviation, electronics, or defence, every sector in the country's exports is constantly on the rise. The continual rise of FDI in the country is narrating the success saga of Make in India," he added.
