MP: Administration demolishes house of accused in Satna rape incident

Satna (Madhya Pradesh) [India], August 18 : The municipal corporation on Friday demolished the house of the accused involved in the Satna minor girl rape incident, an official said.
The accused identified as Rakesh Verma committed the crime on Wednesday evening, August 16 and he has been arrested.
Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM, Satna) Neeraj Khare said, “The house where the accused was living, was found that it was constructed without the permission of municipal corporation and without approval of house blueprint. After which the action (demolishing the house) is being taken by the municipal corporation.”
City Superintendent of Police (CSP) Mahendra Singh Chouhan said, “A rape incident was occurred with a minor on August 16 in which the accused was identified as Rakesh Verma and he has been arrested. The minor has been admitted to Rewa Medical college whose operation has been done and she is stable.”
CSP Chouhan also said the accused Verma had raped a minor girl under Kolgawan police station limits in the district in 2012 in which he was convicted for 10 years of imprisonment. After being released from the jail he again committed the same crime.
Earlier, CSP Chouhan said, “The accused took the 5-year-old girl with him by caressing her from Jagatdev Talab area in the district at around 5 pm on Wednesday. As soon as we came to know about the matter, we searched the minor and found that the accused raped her.”
The minor was brought to the hospital and after primary treatment she was referred to Rewa district hospital for further treatment. The accused was arrested, he added.
