MP CM Chouhan pays tribute to former state minister Ramdayal Ahirwar in Chhatarpur

Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh) [India], August 14 : Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan paid tribute and attended the last rite of former state home minister and water resource minister Ramdayal Ahirwar in Maharajpur, Chhatarpur district on Monday morning.
CM Chouhan reached there along with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president V D Sharma and offered florals to the mortal remains of the former minister.
Speaking to the reporters, CM Chouhan said, “Late Ramdayal Ahirwar ji was a popular leader and a dedicated public servant. He was such a worker of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), who had dedicated himself since childhood to expand the work of the party.”
He was a volunteer of the Sangh and a social worker. He did many remarkable works in the field of education. He was so popular that he had been an MLA six times. It was said about him that he was a permanent MLA, Chouhan said.
“When Maharajpur was a reserved seat for the Scheduled Castes, so he was an MLA from here for 5 times, later the party made him contest elections from Chandla constituency, and from there too he secured victory. As an MLA, he served the public with full devotion,” CM said.
The Chief Minister further said, “I remember when I had come in 2008, he had made many demands for the development of Maharajpur, which we had accepted. He was a minister, he showed his administrative efficiency by being on the post of Minister of State for Home and Water Resources. He was our companion who was simple, gentle and who served everyone.”
“I and the State President have come today to pay homage. I pray to the almighty to give peace to the departed soul and strength to his family to bear the sorrow,” he added.
CM Chouhan also said that in the memory of the former minister, he would do some work after having discussion with workers and family members in Maharajpur, which will keep his memory alive.
Reportedly, the six-time MLA Ahirwar was ill for the last several days. He passed away at his home in Vishwanath colony in Chhatarpur district on Sunday.
