MP: Mandla CMHO terminates 3 persons, issues show-cause notice to people concerned over black marketing of blood

Mandla (Madhya Pradesh) [India], July 13 : The Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) has terminated three outsourced employees and issued show-cause notices to persons concerned in connection with alleged black marketing of blood in Mandla district hospital in Madhya Pradesh.
The action was taken after a written complaint lodged by a man who was asked to pay Rs 3,400 in exchange for blood for his son. The CMHO took the complaint seriously, investigated the matter and took action against the persons concerned.
Complainant Phool Singh Masram said, "My son fell ill after which I admitted him here and the doctor said there was a deficiency of blood. First, free blood was provided but again there was a requirement of blood for which I was given a red slip by the nurse. I was going in search of blood and on the way, a man met with me and said he would arrange the blood in exchange for which he demanded Rs 3400."
Later, he lodged a complaint to the police and also submitted a written complaint to Mandla CMHO Dr K C Sarante about the matter.
According to the written complaint letter, a copy of which is with ANI, "I am Phool Singh Masram and Rs 3400 was taken from me for blood on July 10 and again Rs 3400 was demanded for the blood on July 11. I humbly request you to please get my money back."
Acting on the written complaint, the matter was investigated by Additional Collector Rajendra Kumar Singh, Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Dr K C Sarante, Civil Surgeon Dr Vijay Dhurve and action was taken against persons concerned.
"On behalf of the hospital management, Chief Medical and Health Officer Mandla took action to terminate the services of the outsourced employees Shubham Janghela Lab Supervisor, Durgesh Kachwaha Van Driver, Kamlesh Dhurve Van Attender of the Blood Center contracted firm Surya Charitable Trust Mumbai," the statement read in an official release.
"Show-cause notices were issued against regular lab technicians Anil Bhoyar, Yaduraj Chaurasia, Yaduvesh Yadav and Shyam Hardah, nursing staff Urmila Marskole and Varsha Patel. Besides, the notices were also served to contract lab technicians Ashok Kumar Uike, Pavitra Kachwaha, Ravindra Merscole. All of them were requested to submit a reply within 24 hours otherwise, necessary action will be taken against them," the release read.
Along with this, a notice has also been issued to the pathologist of District Hospital Mandla. Also, a criminal case has been registered against Pradeep Barmaiya, who provided the blood in the matter, at the Mandla Police Station, the release added.
