National pride flourished under PM Modi's leadership: Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel

Rajkot (Gujarat) [India] August 10 : Ahead of Independence Day celebrations in the country, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel flagged off the 'Tiranga Yatra' in Rajkot on Saturday and lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi's governance stating that under his leadership, pride for the country has grown both within the country as well as across the world.
Addressing a public gathering here, the Gujarat Chief Minister said, "We set out on a 'Tiranga Yatra' this morning. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, the pride of the country has increased. This has also changed the way people perceive the country now. PM Modi ji has given us this pride."
"We are making efforts to strengthen the spirit of patriotism with Prime Minister Modi's campaigns, be it Azadi ki Amrit Mahotsav or Tiranga Yatra," CM Patel said.
The Gujarat Chief Minister also highlighted PM Modi's 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign and said that planting trees will help us save the environment from global warming.
"The only solution to save the environment is to plant as many trees as possible," he said.
Further, he said, "We have to make a developed India in 2047, and for this, it is necessary to save and move forward a developed Gujarat and our heritage."
The Gujarat Chief Minister also took to his official handle on X to post on the significance of Gir Forest's biodiversity on World Lion Day.
"On the occasion of 'World Lion Day', an exhibition of photographs highlighting Gir's biodiversity, natural beauty and cultural heritage was unveiled," he wrote on the social media platform.
"Gir forest is a shelter for many species of creatures. Apart from Asiatic lions, leopards, chitals, copper-spotted cats, vultures, royal vultures, chilotros etc. are found here. Gir has a rich ecosystem of 41 species of mammals, 47 species of reptiles, 338 species of birds and 635 species of plants," CM Patel said.
Union Minister and BJP president JP Nadda along with Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel flagged off the 'Tiranga Yatra' in Rajkot on Saturday.
Addressing the public in the Tiranaga Yatra, Nadda said, "Today as we set out on 'Tiranga Yatra' and see 'Tiranaga' all around us, the period of freedom also comes to mind. The state (Gujarat) has played a big role in the independence movement of our nation."
Speaking about the contributions of Mahatma Gandhi in the freedom struggle, Nadda, said, "The nation can never forget the contributions of Mahatma Gandhi who played a big role in achieving independence. It is our pleasure that Mahatma Gandhi's connection was also with the land of this state."
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign across the nation. During this period, the central government urged the citizens to hoist the tricolour on every house, shop, and office. A cleanliness drive will also be carried out.
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed to the citizens to hoist the national flag at their homes as part of the party's 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign on the occasion of the 78th Independence Day on August 15.
In the 112th 'Mann Ki Baat' on July 28, Prime Minister Modi called upon all Indians to take part in the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign to celebrate Independence Day.
He highlighted the growing trend of taking selfies with the national flag and sharing them on social media. He urged party leaders and workers to ensure that the national flag is hoisted on houses, offices, and shops.
Har Ghar Tiranga' is a campaign that forms part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. It was started in 2021 to encourage people to bring the Tiranga home and to hoist it to mark the 75th year of India's independence. The idea behind the initiative is to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the people and promote awareness about the Indian National Flag.
