"Never seen a man who took 'U-turn' in politics like Kejriwal": Amit Shah

New Delhi [India], May 20 : Union Home Minister on Monday launched scathing attacks on Aam Aadmi Party and said that he has never seen a man who took U-turns like Arvind Kejriwal in politics.
Addressing a public meeting in support of BJP South-Delhi candidate Ramvir Singh Bidhuri today, Shah said, "I have never seen a man who took U-turns like Kejriwal in politics. He left his job and formed an NGO and took an oath that he would not enter politics. In November 2022, he formed the AAP party by side-lining Anna Hazare."
"He used to say that I would never become CM; after that, he became three times. Today he is contesting elections in Delhi with Congress. He said that we would not take VIP treatment, bungalows, cars, or anything else, but took everything later. When the bungalow was not enough, he built a Sheesh Mahal worth Rs 125 crore. Even billionaires don't have a house like this," Amit Shah added.
Further, the Home Minister said that Kejriwal has committed so many scams worth crores of Rupees in Delhi.
"I have never seen a shameless person like him in my life. When Lalu ji went to jail, he resigned. When Jayalalitha also went to jail, she resigned. But Kejriwal is a leader who is still sitting on the CM chair," he said.
Shah also mentioned AAP Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal's alleged assault case and said that if a Rajya Sabha MP is beaten up in a Chief Minister's house, can that CM keep the women of Delhi safe?
The Home Minister also emphasised that Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir will remain India's forever.
"The leader of the INDI Alliance says do not talk about POK; respect Pakistan because it has atom bomb. Rahul Baba, we are the people of the BJP; we are not afraid of atom bombs. PoK belongs to India, will remain so and we will take it," Shah said.
"Narendra Modi has ended terrorism in this country. For the last 10 years, terrorists kept coming from Pakistan and carrying out blasts. Modi ji avenged the Pulwama and Uri attacks in 10 days. See the change today, earlier slogans of independence were raised in our Kashmir but today these slogans are being raised in Pok. They have nothing to eat, he added.
Sharpening his attacks, Amit Shah said that Kejriwal and Rahul Baba are such people who have more supporters in Pakistan.
