New Delhi [India], October 26 : Dr Ashwin Fernandes, Executive Director of the UK-based QS World University Rankings, presented his book 'Modialogue: Conversations for a Viksit Bharat' to former President Ram Nath Kovind on Saturday.
The book celebrates the far-reaching impact of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's acclaimed radio programme, 'Mann Ki Baat'.
This insightful work delves into Prime Minister Modi's transformative communication strategy, which has elevated Mann Ki Baat from a simple broadcast to a powerful platform for national dialogue.
The title, MODIALOGUE -- a blend of 'Modi' and 'dialogue' -- reflects this unique communication approach that has connected citizens, providing a space for them to share their aspirations, concerns, and hopes for a prosperous future.
Dr Ashwin Fernandes, a respected thought leader and academic from Goa, brings his expertise in global higher education to this book, offering a fresh perspective on national engagement.
Dr Fernandes has played a key role in advancing educational excellence across India, providing strategic insights to institutions to boost their global presence and elevate academic standards.
'MODIALOGUE' features contributions from prominent figures, including Dr Pramod Sawant, Chief Minister of Goa; Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Union Cabinet Minister for Rural Development, Agriculture, and Farmers Welfare; Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra; Satish Mahana, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh; and Smriti Zubin Irani, former Union Cabinet Minister.
The book also includes an analysis of a nationwide survey with responses from over 4,200 people, highlighting the overwhelmingly positive impact of Mann Ki Baat across diverse demographics.
Distinguished by artwork from celebrated Indian artists, inspired by themes from the programme, the book adds a cultural dimension that reflects India's rich artistic heritage. It also draws parallels between Modi's communication approach and Chanakya's philosophies on leadership and dialogue.
Reflecting on the launch, Dr Ashwin Fernandes said, "Launching MODIALOGUE marks a milestone in recognising the profound role of communication in governance and society. This book encapsulates the essence of Prime Minister Modi's approach to dialogue, uniting India's diverse voices. Through *Mann Ki Baat*, we witness the transformative potential of shared conversation in building a Viksit Bharat, and I am honoured to present a copy of this book to Shri Ram Nath Kovind."
