New Delhi [India], December 12 : The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday conducted a series of searches across three states in connection with the Chinturu (Andhra Pradesh) Naxal supply chain case.

NIA teams seized several digital devices and incriminating documents during the searches in Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh and Odisha, said the agency.

The searches were conducted at the premises linked with seven accused in the case (RC-12/2024/NIA/DLI), which was originally registered by Chinturu police following the arrest of two accused. "The duo were found carrying explosives, incriminating literature, and cash when they were intercepted and arrested by the police," said the NIA.

NIA, which took over the investigation in September this year, found a large network involved in the supply of explosive materials and logistical support to the underground cadres of the proscribed Naxal organisation.
"The conspiracy was aimed at carrying out various terrorist acts, including the killing of police personnel engaged in election duties," added the agency.
