Ranchi (Jharkhand) [India], September 17 : Jharkhand Finance Minister and Congress leader Rameshwar Oraon retorted for making a similar kind of alliance between Congress and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) as it was made during the last assembly polls as "both parties will benefit" from that.
Speaking to ANI on the JMM-Congress alliance, he said, "There will be no benefit in increasing or decreasing the seats. If the agreement that was made between the two parties (JMM-Congress) last time is successful, then both parties will benefit... We do not know yet how many seats will be given to RJD ...," he added.
"We will seat and have a discussion on seat sharing. We will see where we are strong and weak, and accordingly we will decide where we will contest and where they will contest. And a respectable agreement is likely to take place between us."
On allegations of financial irregularities, Rameshwar Oraon said, "Allegations should be made by giving examples...We are not looting money. We are running the government with honesty. We are spending for the welfare of the people..."
Earlier, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren had met Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi. Jharkhand CM Soren dubbed his meeting as "a courtesy meet" and said that both the parties will soon start discussions regarding the upcoming Jharkhand assembly elections.
Addressing media persons, after his meeting with Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and party MP Rahul Gandhi, Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren said "I was planning to meet them for a long time. It was a courtesy meeting. We will now have discussions regarding the Jharkhand Assembly Elections. Everything else is fine and peaceful. We will run the government with full strength and in the future win the elections too."
