Jhajjar (Haryana) [India], September 9 : Congress MP Deepender Hooda on Monday said that there is "no challenge" for the party in the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections and further accused the BJP of "misgovernance" in the last 10 years.
"No challenge for Congress, we will form the government with complete majority and the BJP is also aware of that. That's why they changed their CM, then Deputy CM, then cabinet then state president then the date of the election and then again. Everyone is tired of BJP," Hooda said.
He continued his attack on the BJP alleging them of "misgovernance" in past 10 years.
"The issue is of 10 years of misgovernance by the BJP government. In 10 years, the BJP has derailed the state of Haryana from the track of progress and development. Today Haryana is number 1 in unemployment in the country, in crime Haryana is number 1. Today, Haryana has gone ahead of Punjab in intoxication. Such is the situation that Haryana is number 1 in the country in insulting every section," Hooda said.
Hooda further expressed his confidence in Kuldeep Vats.
"We are confident that our candidate Kuldeep Vats will win with a huge majority in the Badli assembly constituency. The people of Badli have decided that they have to bring about a change in Haryana," Hooda said.
Congress on Sunday released its second list of nine candidates for the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections.
In a major boost to Congress, former wrestler Vinesh Phogat, along with wrestler Bajrang Punia, joined the party on Friday, just one month ahead of the polls in the state.
The voting for the 90-member legislative assembly in Haryana will be held on October 5 and the last date for filing nominations is September 12. The counting of votes will be held on October 8.
In 2019 assembly polls, the BJP became the single-largest party with 40 seats, and Congress won 30 seats.
