Apr 06, 2024
Morigaon (Assam) [India], April 6 : Suresh Bora, the BJP candidate for Nagaon Lok Sabha constituency on Saturday slammed the Congress party and said that the Congress should first guarantee that, every Congressman will be within the party and then they should talk about other guarantees.
"In their election manifesto, they (Congress) are talking about 5 Nyay and 25 Guarantees. But there is no guarantee of who will quit at what time. They should do this first. No guarantee will work infront of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. What the Prime Minister has guaranteed, only it's worked," Suresh Bora told ANI.
He further said that, in Assam, only Narendra Modi's guarantee and Mama's (Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma) warranty have worked.
The BJP candidate is very confident that he will win this election and Narendra Modi will become the Prime Minister for a third term.
The BJP candidate took part in an election campaign rally at Jagiroad area in Morigaon district on Saturday, where many minority people from Congress party joined BJP.
"The main fight in Nagaon Lok Sabha constituency will be between BJP and AIUDF. Congress is not in the race. There is no future of Congress. I was also in the Congress party for many years, but I joined BJP for development. Just within 3 months, the BJP has given the ticket to contest this election from a respectful constituency like Nagaon," Suresh Bora said.
Suresh Bora, the former president of the Nagaon District Congress Committee who contested the assembly election from Barhampur assembly constituency in 2021, resigned from the party in November last year.
