No water scarcity in Gwalior till 2070: Jyotiraditya Scindia

Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh) [India], October 6 : Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Friday said that his resolution of bringing water from the Chambal river so that there is no water scarcity in Gwalior is being fulfilled.
"It was my resolution to bring water from Chambal to Gwalior so that there is no scarcity till 2070. The foundation of this water scheme worth rupees 380 crore is going to be laid because of the blessings of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Prime Minister," Scindia said speaking to reporters on Friday.
The Union Minister also said that the foundation of an elevated road spanning 7.5 kilometres will be laid in Gwalior on Friday.
"Today the foundation of elevated road part II of 7.5 km will be laid, one from IITTM to Rani Jhansi Dham and from there to the police chowki. The project is worth Rupees 926 crore. In it, there would be ten entry ramps and nine exit ramps, 19 ramps will be 5 kilometres long," Scindia said.
He thanked the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, the Union Road Road Transport Minister and the state Irrigation Minister.
Madhya Pradesh is going to polls at the end of this year. The BJP is in direct contest with the Congress in the state.
