New Delhi [India], January 10 : Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa slammed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday for his 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra', stating that the yatra aims to bring together the most corrupt people in the country.
"This is not a but a . This is a journey to unite the corrupt people of the country. When this journey starts, you will see that there will be dishonest people, there will be robbers with them," Sirsa said while speaking to ANI.
"If the Nyay Yatra is to be done, then it should start with the families of the victims of the 1984 riots and with Kashmiri Pandits. Then only this can be called Nyaya Yatra," the BJP leader added.
With the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra set to begin on January 14 from Imphal, Congress has stepped up preparations for it.
Earlier, Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal on Tuesday said that its state party in Assam has made elaborate arrangements for its successful implementation, but the BJP dismissed the importance of the Yatra and suggested that Congress should focus on uniting the opposition alliance and should start a yatra known as 'INDI Jodo Yatra'.
Further, Sirsa slammed West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee over her remarks on Ram Mandir and said that to please a special class, Mamata is using these kinds of words for Lord Ram.
"I heard the statement of Mamata Banerjee, in which she is saying that all this 'Nautanki' is going on. I think she should understand that you call the holy place of Ram Temple a drama. You are saying this because you want to get the votes of Bangladeshi infiltrators and a special class. To please them, you are using these kinds of words for Lord Ram," Manjinder Singh Sirsa added.
Responding to the ED naming Bihar's former CM Rabri Devi, her daughters Misa Bharti and Hema Yadav, Hridyanand Chaudhary and Amit Katyal in the Land for job scam, the BJP leader said that Lalu's family's name will appear in the Guinness Book of World Records.
"The most dishonest family in the country is the Lalu family. First of all, a case is going on against them on animal fodder scam. This will become justice history in the country. Lalu's family's name will appear in the Guinness Book of World Records. The second case against this family is Land for Job, in which they took over the lands of poor people on the pretext of giving them jobs. There cannot be a more corrupt family than this," he said.
