Ernakulam (Kerala) [India], January 27 : Opposition leader in the Kerala Assembly VD Satheesan on Saturday said that the Kerala Governor's outburst against black flag protestors is a part of the "ongoing drama" between Arif Mohammed Khan and the LDF Government in the state.
Addressing the media here on Saturday, the Congress leader alleged that the state government, which is supposed to provide security to the governor, is 'paving the way' to block the governor on his way.
"This is nothing but drama? Is this an anti-central strike?... Are the Governor and the Chief Minister LKG children to keep quiet when they see each other? He said.
Satheesan further said that CM Pinarayi Vijayan does not speak against the Governor because he is 'scared of' the central agencies.
"The Chief Minister is afraid of central agencies. The Governor insulted the Legislative Assembly and the Chief Minister did not utter a single word. On Republic Day, the Chief Minister did not utter a single word even though the Governor attacked the government. The chief minister is afraid to speak against the central government and the governor. The Chief Minister, who lives in fear of central agencies, is struggling with SFI children to deceive the locals," he added.
Arif Mohammad Khan who was on his way to Kottarakkara (Kollam) for an event, got out of his car at Nilamel, took on the agitating members of the Students Federation of India (SFI) and sat on the roadside demanding police action against the activists for staging a black flag protest against him.
The Kerala LoP also said that the people mock the 'drama' between the governor and the government.
"The opposition in Kerala has never gone behind the Governor. The opposition was opposing the illegal activities of the government and the governor. Now people are laughing at what they are doing. Both of them do not speak when they see each other. One will turn back. Who is this to show? Are these LP school children? This is not politics," he said.
