Odisha CM, Deputy CM launch Har Ghar Tiranga signature campaign

Bhubaneswar (Odisha) [India], August 12 : Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Deputy CM Pravati Parida and other leaders launched the Har Ghar Tiranga signature campaign at Lok Seva Bhavan in Bhubaneswar on Monday.
Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan and Minister of Revenue and Disaster Suresh Pujari were also present at the event.
Speaking to ANI, Deputy CM Pravati Parida said that the campaign aims to encourage every household in Odisha to hoist the national flag, the Tiranga, as a symbol of pride and loyalty to the country and stated that the initiative will run in every district in Odisha under the supervision of the collector and every school and college to organise the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' initiative.
"The "Har Ghar Tiranga" initiative, launched by Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi, is a commendable effort to promote patriotism and national unity. The programme aims to encourage every household in Odisha to hoist the national flag, the Tiranga, as a symbol of pride and loyalty to the country. Tomorrow, this campaign will run in every district under the supervision of the collector and every school and college will organise the Har Ghar Tiranga initiative. In many places in Odisha, Tiranga rallies are also being organised," she said.
"PM Narendra Modi also said that everywhere there should be a 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign and ministers should also come to the streets to campaign for the Har Ghar Tiranga initiative," she added.
Earlier on August 8, Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat announced the third edition of the "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign that will be celebrated from August 9-15 as part of the Independence Day celebrations, according to a statement from the Ministry of Culture.
Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, the Minister said that the initiative aims to instill a spirit of patriotism and national pride among citizens by encouraging every Indian to hoist the national flag. The Minister urged the citizens to hoist the Tiranga at their homes and click a selfie with the flag.
On Friday, August 9, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged the citizens to make the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign a mass movement by hoisting the national flag at their homes. Changing his profile picture on social media to 'Tricolour', PM Modi further urged everyone to change their profile picture to the same.
