Odisha CM Mohan Majhi condoles demise of senior photo journalist Anil Prasad Mishra

Bhubaneshwar (Odisha) [India] August 22 : Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed his condolences on the demise of the senior photo journalist and the Editor-in-Chief of the Eastern Press Agency, Anil Prasad Mishra, on Wednesday.
"I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of senior photojournalist and EPA Weekly Editor-in-Chief Anil Prasad Mishra. May the late Mishra's soul rest in peace. May Lord Shri Jagannath give strength to his family to bear this sad event. Om Shanti" CM Majhi wrote on X.
Anil Prasad Mishra was a senior photo journalist, founder of the only photo news agency of Odisha, 'Eastern Press Agency' and EPA weekly, and a close associate of former Chief Minister Biju Patnaik.
He passed away at the age of 63 in a private hospital due to prolonged illness. On Wednesday evening, his last rights were performed at Puri swarg dwar.
Former Union Minister Bhakta Charan Das also expressed condolences on the demise of Anil Prasad Mishra.
"Senior photo journalist, founder of Eastern press Agency and editor in chief of #EPA Weekly Anil Prasad Mishra passed away today at 10.56 pm. He was under treatment at Sparsh hospital. My deepest condolences to the bereaved family. May his soul rest in peace," Bhakt Charan Das wrote on X.
Anil Prasad Mishra was closely associated with Biju Patnaik former CM of Odisha. He had written a book called 'Memories ' on Biju Patnaik with rare photographs of Biju Patnaik, his son Naveen Patnaik and former president of Indonesia Meghawati Sukarnoputri.
He was instrumental in building the career of many photo journalists in Odisha. He was a pioneer in this field and associated with many national and international newspapers and magazines. He also worked with Reuters for so many years.
