"Odisha will receive an investment of Rs 8,96,686 Crores": CM Majhi after Odisha Investors Summit

New Delhi [India], April 8 : Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday said that he is "overjoyed" to announce that the Odisha government has signed MoUs with Petronet LNG, Indian Strategic Petroleum Reserves Limited, and several other companies under IOCL (Indian Oil Corporation Limited) of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.
He stated that MoUs of 13 projects have been signed, and Odisha has received an investment of Rs 8,96,686 crores. Majhi emphasised that it is a step towards making Odisha an industrial powerhouse.
"I am overjoyed to tell you that the Odisha Government has signed MoUs with Petronet LNG, Indian Strategic Petroleum Reserves Limited and several other companies under IOCL (Indian Oil Corporation Limited) of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. MoUs of 13 projects have been signed. With this, Odisha will receive an investment of Rs 8,96,686 Crores. Toward making Odisha an industrial powerhouse, we have touched a new milestone today...", Mohan Charan Majhi told reporters on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the Odisha Investors Summit was organised at the Taj Palace hotel in New Delhi, where MoUs related to several projects were signed in the presence of CM Mohan Charan Majhi, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, and Dharmendra Pradhan.
In his keynote address, Mohan Charan Majhi emphasized Odisha's vision to emerge as a petrochemical and manufacturing hub.
He stated, "Today's MoU with Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. is a landmark moment in Odisha's industrial journey. It reflects not just a shared vision but a strong belief in the state's potential to lead India's petrochemical revolution from the east. Paradip, with its strategic location and evolving infrastructure, is poised to become a transformative industrial hub--much like Dahej in the west... Odisha is ready, and we invite you to invest in our bright future."
The chief minister's visit to the national capital featured productive one-on-one meetings with notable industry leaders from various sectors. Those companies were Kiri Industries, Himadri Specialty Chemical Ltd, and SLMG Beverages Pvt. Ltd, Chowgule Group, Inox GFL Group, and Bombay Dyeing Mfg. Co. Ltd.
