May 03, 2024
Washington [US], May 3 : English musician and media personality Ozzy Osbourne, who has won Grammys, is gearing up for his second Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction. In a recent episode of the SiriusXM series, he said that he would like to add an Academy Award to his list of accolades, according to People.
"Is there an achievement that you haven't got yet that you would like?" asked his cohost, Billy Morrison.
"Oscar," replied Osbourne , who has already won Grammys and is preparing for his second induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist since Black Sabbath joined in 2006.
"Well, you've got to... be in a movie to do an Oscar," quipped Morrison, 55.
"You asked me what award I haven't gotten," said the "Crazy Train" performer, clarifying that he's not looking to get into acting anytime soon. "No, Elton John got one for a song."
Osbourne's main goal, however, is to continue recovering from a series of spinal procedures caused by structural damage experienced in a 2019 fall.
"I'd like to do a gig without falling over now," he said, adding that "one f---ing surgeon" is "taking his time" getting the rock icon in the clear to perform.
Osbourne was announced as a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 2024 class earlier this month, and he spoke with Billboard about whether he'll be able to perform at the October ceremony after generally avoiding live shows in recent years, reported People.
