May 25, 2020

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], May 25 : Although the central government has allowed the resumption of domestic flight from Monday, some of the passengers were left helpless at Hyderabad Airport as their tickets were cancelled due to other state governments for not permitting the flights to land.
"I booked a ticket from Hyderabad to Bangalore on Midnight, and now the airport authority is telling us that the flight has been cancelled as Karnataka Government is not giving permission. Now they are giving the alternate date as May 28 or May 29," Ramesh, a traveller told ANI.
Another woman who was waiting at the airport after her flight was cancelled said, "I have to go to Assam, the flight was booked at 7 pm yesterday, as it is curfew time, we reached airport yesterday afternoon. We had to stay the whole night in the lounge, with no food, and now they have cancelled the flight and asked us to select another date. Now the authorities are not allowing us inside. We have left our room and we have nowhere to live till then."
All scheduled commercial passenger flights were suspended in India since March 25 after the Central government imposed a lockdown to contain the virus.
Domestic flight operations resumed across the country from Monday except in Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal.
