"PCC President will look at all developments": Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara on speculations around CM post

Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], September 11 : After Karnataka Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot sanctioned prosecution order against Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, several leaders from Karnataka Congress expressed their interest in the race for the Chief Minister post.
Amid speculations, reacting to this matter, state Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara said that AICC and PCC will deal with the leaders who had expressed their wish to become the Chief Minister of the state.
"The PCC President will look at all these developments. He will talk to those leaders who have expressed something like this. It is up to PCC and AICC to regulate these types of statements," Karnataka Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara said.
Earlier, PCC President and Deputy CM DK Shivakumar ruled out the possibility of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah resigning amid demands for his resignation.
There is a conspiracy to misuse the Governor's office to destabilize Siddaramaiah-led Congress government in Karnataka. There is no question of the CM resigning and our entire party and the government is behind him," he said.
On August 31, the office of the Karantaka Governor told the high court in the State that sanction granted to prosecute Karnataka Chief Minister K Siddaramaiah in the alleged Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) scam was done after "application of mind."
When asked about the status of investigation, he said that all the agencies are have different mandates and submit their report to court after the investigation.
In August, amid the row over Karnataka Governor Thawarchand Gehlot granting permission for prosecution of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, state ministers and legislators conducted a 'Raj Bhavan Chalo' protest.
The Congress has accused the Governor of discriminatory behaviour alleging that several other cases are also pending before the Governor, but he has not made any decisions on them.
Protestors also sought for prosecution of Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy in a mining lease case.
Thaawarchand Gehlot sanctioned prosecution against Siddaramaiah in a case of alleged corruption in the allotment of land to his wife by the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA).
