Patna (Bihar) [India], November 27 : Launching a scathing attack against the Bharatiya Janata Party government at the Centre, RJD leader and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav said on Sunday that the people of the country are unhappy with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government.
"It is certain that people are upset with PM Modi's government. This is why there are no big crowds in BJP rallies," Tejashwi Yadav said.
The statement from Tejashwi at the Nonia Samaj Mahasammelan organized in Darbhanga. Tejashwi further said that regarding AIIMS, BJP people were saying that Darbhanga AIIMS should be built on the DMCH campus.
"But instead of this site, we gave land for the construction of AIIMS in Shobhan Bypass, so that Darbhanga can have all-round development," said the Bihar Dy CM.
Taking potshots at the Narendra Modi government at the Centre, Yadav said, "We have in a short period of time provided jobs to lakhs of people in Bihar. The current regime at the Centre makes a big show of recruiting a few thousand people across the country which has a population of one billion".
Tejashwi asserted that his government will be able to fulfil its promise of 10 lakh jobs 'by 2025', the year in which the state will be facing its next assembly polls.
Tejashwi also took a dig at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath and said, "We don't want clashes and chaos. Now even the people of UP are saying that their CM is only ringing bells but they need to come to Bihar for jobs... All of you should not believe their false promises. Hunger cannot be satisfied with temples and mosques. These people pray for show-off..."
He also rubbished the allegation of Rashtriya Lok Janata Dal Upendra Kushwaha's claim that there will be a split in Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal (United), he said that he would not like to react to such a baseless allegation and called it a bundle of lies.
"Understand one thing, it doesn't matter to us who says or doesn't say what. We don't comment on the statement of someone who doesn't have any facts. Does it have any significance?" the Deputy Chief Minister said.
Upendra Kushwaha, after having a meeting with Union Minister Nityanand Rai, on Monday said that there will be divisions in JD (U). He also claimed that many JD(U) ministers and MPs are in touch with him and BJP leaders.
