Nov 24, 2023
Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], November 24 : In an open letter, Bharatiya Janata Party state president and Union Minister G Kishan Reddy hit out at Bharat Rashtra Samithi president and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday.
Kishan Reddy claimed that the people of the state are so vexed with the undemocratic ways of the CM that they have decided to end it in the upcoming state assembly polls.
"Democracy in the state has become an ornament in your dictatorial rule. It is known to everyone that KCR will not listen to anyone. During the separate state agitation, you have visited offices of all the parties and now you are trying to eliminate the existence of the same parties," Reddy stated in his letter.
"Like Hiranya Kashapa in mythology, you feel that you are everything. You feel that people will hear whatever you say without questioning and the way you brush aside those questions depicts your nature. The newspapers and channels stopped writing about you after you threatened to bury them 10 feet deep," the BJP chief alleged.
He has also pointed out how the pictures of the Chief Minister appeared in the rocky sculptures of Yadadri and were removed when there was an outcry and said that people are preparing to "teach a lesson" to BRS and CM KCR.
"Pragathi Bhavan has become the modern residency of Nizams. What happened to Praja Darbars that were held in the past by the public? How are the public supposed to meet their Chief Minister? Can even the Minister and MLAs meet you without any problem? Where is Bangaru Telangana?" asked Kishan Reddy alleging that it took 10 years for the public to understand the real nature of the Chief Minister.
The state is set to witness a triangular contest between the ruling Bharat Rasthtra Samithi, Congress and BJP in the November 30 polls while the votes will be counted on December 3.
