"People want Modi to be PM for third term": Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma

Jodhpur (Rajasthan) [India], April 19 : Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said on Friday that "Rajasthan will make a hattrick" of winning all 25 Lok Sabha seats in the state as the people want Narendra Modi to be the Prime Minister for a third time.
The BJP and its allies had secured victory in all 25 seats in the state during the previous two parliamentary elections in 2014 and 2019.
In Phase 1 of polling, voting is underway for 12 seats in the state, while the remaining 13 seats will be polled in the second phase on April 26.
"Today elections are going on at 12 Lok Sabha seats, the kind of enthusiasm and excitement the people of Rajasthan are showing, they want PM Narendra Modi to be the PM for a third term. Rajasthan will make a hattrick likewise it did in 2014 and 2019 elections of winning all 25 seats in the state," he said.
Earlier today, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma exercised his franchise at a polling booth in Jaipur.
There is a substantial increase in the voter turnout charts across the states in the country, with the North-Easterm state of Tripura still leading at 53.04 per cent till 1 pm as per the data released by the Election Commission of India.
Voter turnout in Rajasthan was recorded at 33.73 per cent till 1 pm.
Voting for the first phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024 began on Friday across 102 parliamentary constituencies spread over 21 states and Union Territories as the mega seven-phase electoral exercise commenced at 7:00 am.
Voters will exercise their franchise until 6:00 pm.
The last general elections in 2019 were also held in seven phases. Vote counting will be done on June 4.
