Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], November 8 : With around two weeks left for the assembly elections in Rajasthan, BJP national general secretary Arun Singh said on Wednesday that people want to get rid of the Congress government in the state.
Expressing confidence in BJP's victory in the state, Arun Singh said, "People want to get rid of the Congress government. I feel it will be a historic win for BJP in Rajasthan."
Earlier on Tuesday, in a similar attack, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that the people in the state were fed up with the corruption and failure of the Congress government and they have made up their minds for change.
While Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge earlier took a swipe at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) alleging that the latter is "looting" the country.
"Some people try to scare us in the name of ED, IT and CBI. The central government is bullying our leaders. Modi Sahab (Prime Minister Narendra Modi) and the BJP are putting obstacles to every welfare scheme that we bring to the table", Kharge said while addressing a poll campaign in Rajasthan's Jodhpur.
In the 2018 assembly elections, the Congress won 99 seats while the BJP won 73 seats in the 200-member house.
Rajasthan is scheduled to go to assembly polls on November 25 and the counting of votes will take place on December 3. The Bharatiya Janata Party has released its candidates for all 200 assembly seats.
