Gaya (Bihar) [India], November 4 : Former Bihar deputy chief minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav launched a scathing attack on Nitish Kumar and Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP), accusing them of increasing crime, corruption, poverty, inflation and more.
The RJD leader attended the Govardhan puja on Sunday at the Kamalpur area in the Gaya district, and extended his wishes to the people.
Criticising the BJP-JD(U) alliance in a post on X he said that the people of Bihar will "shatter the pride of Nitish-BJP government" in the upcoming bypolls in Bihar.
"Just like Shri Krishna Ji had broken the pride of Lord Indra by protecting the people of Gokul by lifting the Govardhan mountain on his finger, similarly this time the justice-loving people of Bihar will shatter the pride of the Nitish-BJP government of 20 years which has increased record-breaking inflation, corruption, crime, poverty, unemployment and migration," the post read.
Additionally, the former Dy CM also highlighted the problems faced by the people related to electricity bills and pre-paid meters, saying that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) have been troubling people with such issues.
"People have made up their mind that they have to teach a lesson to the current National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government. People have been troubled - from the electricity bill, and pre-paid meters to land surveys. They are fed up now. You can see that crime has increased day by day. Today, we listed 110 murder incidents. The criminals are celebrating, while law and order have collapsed. The government has failed and the criminals have become fractious, out of control. Incidents (of crime) are increasing constantly," Yadav added on Sunday.
Moreover, RJD MP Misa Bharti also raised her concerns over the deteriorating law and order situation and called on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to ensure proper enforcement of law as people are not safe in Bihar.
RJD MP Misa Bharti said, "We have always raised our voice against the law and order situation in the state at present. People walking on the streets are shot. The Chief Minister is also the Home Minister and he should ensure proper enforcement of law and order. People are not safe in the state."
The bypolls for four assembly constituencies in Bihar, namely Belaganj, Imamganj, Tarari, and Ramgarh are scheduled to be held on November 13. The results are to be announced on November 23.
