New Delhi [India], June 8 : Miraya Anand, a four-and-a-half-year-old child, who had presented Prime Minister Narendra Modi with a sketch, received a letter from the Prime Minister as a token of appreciation. The child's father Vikas Anand, while expressing gratitude said that it was surprising that the country's Prime Minister could connect with people at such a micro-level.
Speaking to ANI on receiving a letter from the PM-designate, Miraya Anand's father Vikas Anand said, "My daughter whose name is Miraya Anand, compares Modi ji with her grandfather. One day, she made a sketch that depicted Modi dadu on one side, her grandfather on the other, and India's flag at the center and wrote Jai Hind at the bottom."
"We sent the letter to the Prime Minister after which we received a letter from the Prime Minister's Office, wherein PM Modi expressed his emotions. He wrote that the devotion you have for the country proves that the country's future is bright. We are all very proud," he said.
Adding further, the proud father said, "A person spends a lifetime waiting to catch a glimpse of the prime minister but a 4-and-a-half-year-old kid's letter was answered and appreciated. I am surprised at the Prime Minister's PR skills. The way he can connect with the people at such a micro-level. He must have received several letters but I believe that the kid's drawing would have touched the Prime Minister, hence he wrote back."
Tarun Jain, a young artist from Madhya Pradesh who prepared a sketch of Prime Minister Modi and gifted him the portrait in Damoh also thanked the PM for the appreciation letter from the Prime Minister's Office.
Speaking to ANI, Tarun Jain said, "I had sketched PM Modi with his mother and had gone to Damoh to gift him for the first time. But, I was unable to do so. For the second time, I had no hope that he would be able to see it or would say that he would write a letter to me. Within 10-15 days I received a letter and I am very happy."
Meanwhile, Narendra Modi will take oath on Sunday at 6 p.m. Tight security arrangements have been made in the national capital to ensure smooth conduct of the mega event.
Dignitaries from across the world will also witness the grand event.
The security measures follow the formal appointment of Narendra Modi as Prime Minister by the President of India on Friday.
The letters of support from NDA constituent parties were also given to the President.
