Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], April 24 : Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's roadshow in the state capital Bhopal on Wednesday, State Congress chief Jitu Patwari took a jibe at him saying PM Modi is a showman.
Patwari also accused that in the last 10 years of PM Modi's tenure, 17 governments of opposition parties were toppled in the country and over 500 MLAs and 200 MPs were horse traded.
He further alleged that the BJP government was acting like 'Sarkari Mafia' which works only to take the opposition parties leaders into its party.
"17 governments in the country were toppled in the last 10 years of PM Modi's tenure and more than 500 MLAs and 200 MPs were horses traded. You have heard different types of Mafia, liquor mafia, land mafia, education mafia but there is one 'Sarkari Mafia' which works only to take the opposition parties leaders into its party," Patwari said while addressing a press conference in Bhopal.
"Today, there is a road show of PM Modi in Bhopal. PM Modi is a showman. When he does road shows, he neither talks to the media nor the public. Yesterday, our CM Mohan Yadav described PM Modi as the incarnation of Lord Hanuman. I have asked PM Modi thrice to answer the questions of the public of the state. I request him to answer it," the Congress leader said.
"There were 1.29 crores women under Ladli Bahna scheme in the state who were promised Rs 3000 a month during assembly polls last year and it was a Modi guarantee but it is yet to be fulfilled. PM Modi please tell us when these women will be blessed," he added.
"These women were also promised to benefit from Awas Yojana and would be provided an LPG cylinder at the rate of Rs 450. The women want to ask you when will they get these blessings. Similarly, farmers were given guarantees of an MSP of Rs 2700 per quintal for wheat, Rs 3100 per quintal for rice but the state government is mute on this question. We seek answers from PM Modi on this during his road show here," Patwari further said.
PM Modi is scheduled to hold a road show in Bhopal on Wednesday evening and it will be PM's fifth visit to the state within this month. Earlier, he came to Jabalpur on April 7, Balaghat on April 9, Narmadapuram on April 14 and Damoh on April 19.
