PM Modi to lay foundation stone for Rs 50,0000 cr petrochemical complex in MP's Bina on Sept 14

Sagar (Madhya Pradesh) [India], September 12 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit the poll-bound Madhya Pradesh once again on September 14 to lay the foundation stone of the expansion of BPCL Refinery and construction of the Petrochemical Complex located in Sagar district.
PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone of various industrial complexes of Madhya Pradesh on the occasion.
Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan Public Works Minister Gopal Bhargava, Urban Development Minister Bhupendra Singh, and many other prominent leaders will be present in the program.
The construction of the petrochemical complex in Bina Refinery worth Rs 50,000 crore will provide direct employment to 15,000 people and indirect employment to 2 lakh people.
Presently, BPCL Bina operates a refinery with a capacity of 7.8 million metric tonnes per annum (MMTPA) which is capable of meeting the increasing fuel demands of Northern and Central India.
The construction of the petrochemical complex which will be built worth Rs 50,000 crores, will be ready in a time period of five years.
With its completion, the capacity of BPCL Bina will increase from 7.8 million metric tonnes per annum (MMTPA) to 11 MMTPA.
Ethylene Cracker Complex of 1.2 MMTPA capacity with excellent technology will also be established in the new unit of Bina Refinery Petrochemical Complex. Along with this, a downstream petrochemical plant will be established here.
