Punjab Governor hosts annual Independence Day reception at Raj Bhavan

Chandigarh [India], August 15 : Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria on Thursday hosted the annual 'At Home' reception for the distinguished invitees on the occasion of 78 Independence Day in the lawns of Punjab Raj Bhavan.
"The Punjab Governor and Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria hosted the annual 'At Home' reception for the distinguished invitees on the occasion of Independence Day of India in the lawns of Punjab Raj Bhavan, Chandigarh," as per a press release from the Public Relations Department, Chandigarh.
The program began with the arrival of the Governor at the venue at 5.00 PM. The Governor was given a ceremonial welcome by the Police band with the National Anthem played by it.
"The invitees from different walks of life converged at the Punjab Raj Bhavan which was tastefully decorated on Independence Day. The Governor greeted the guests present and exchanged pleasantries with them," as per the release.
A beautiful cultural bonanza by the artists of North Zone Cultural Center (NZCC) was featured in the At Home reception at Punjab Raj Bhavan, Chandigarh. The initiative to promote the artists of North Zone was well received by the audience. The presence of National Awardees was another feature of the reception.
