Punjab: Rashtriya Bhagwa Sena Vice President shot in Amritsar, case registered

Amritsar (Punjab) [India], July 11 : Rashtriya Bhagwa Sena Vice President Praveen Kumar was shot in Punjab's Amritsar on Wednesday.
Kumar sustained a bullet injury. He is receiving treatment at a hospital.
Giving details about the incident, Rashtriya Bhagwa Sena national president Pankaj Davesar says, "The firing happened at 9.20 pm. Two assailants can be seen in the CCTV footage... Praveen Kumar sustained a bullet injury and is under treatment at a hospital... Doctors say that his condition is stable, but unless the bullet is taken out of his body nothing can be said... The government should catch the culprits and put them behind bars."
According to the police, a case was registered under relevant sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. A search to arrest the accused is underway.
Station house officer (SHO) Palwinder Singh says, "We came to know that Praveen Kumar has been shot...The case has been registered u/s of BNS (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita). Search for the accused is underway, they will be traced and arrested soon... Things will come to be known only during the investigation. An investigation is underway. CCTV footage is being checked"
