Punjab Taxi Operator Union delegation discusses various issues and demands with Himachal Deputy CM Agnihotri

Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], July 16 : A delegation of the various Punjab Taxi Operator Unions, led by President Keval Krishan, met with Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri on Tuesday to discuss various pressing issues and demands faced by the union.
During the meeting, Krishan highlighted the ongoing rift between the taxi unions of Himachal Pradesh and Punjab and urged for an immediate resolution to maintain harmony among taxi operators in both states, stated an official release.
He also urged the Deputy Chief Minister to consider providing relief from the taxes imposed on tourist vehicles and to ensure the provision of necessary facilities and safety measures for taxi operators.
The Deputy Chief Minister gave a patient hearing to the concerns and demands presented by the delegation.
He emphasized the importance of maintaining brotherhood among taxi operators and assured that the government is committed to supporting the taxi industry and improving the working conditions for operators.
He also assured the union that their genuine demands would be addressed on priority and steps would be taken to resolve the issues swiftly.
