Raghubar Das pays tribute to Dr Manmohan Singh, calling his passing an "Irreparable Loss for the Nation"

Ranchi (Jharkhand) [India], December 28 : Political leaders nationwide have expressed grief over the passing of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. Raghubar Das, the outgoing governor of Odisha, called it an "irreparable loss for the nation," recognising his crucial role in India's economic liberalisation and his calm leadership style on Saturday.
Speaking to ANI, Outgoing governor of Odisha, Raghubar Das said, "This was very sad news for everyone...His demise is an irreparable loss for the country... he worked for the nation and was a very composed man...Dr Manmohan Singh made a huge contribution to economic liberalisation to strengthen the country's economy."
On the demise of former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, Congress leader Ghulam Ahmad Mir said, "He did excellent work during his tenure as PM and finance minister...He never used to get irritated or angry."

Meanwhile, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Friday expressed deep grief over the passing of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, saying that he gave the nation a new direction and will always be remembered.
"It is a moment of extreme grief. Dr Manmohan Singh is no longer with us... He gave a new direction to the nation. May God grant him peace... This is the fate, but Dr Singh will always remain in our memories," CM Soren told ANI.
The Jharkhand CM, along with his wife and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leader Kalpana Soren, visited the residence of Dr Manmohan Singh in Delhi to pay their last respects to the departed soul. Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leader and wife of Hemant Soren, Kalpana Soren, also paid tribute, saying that Dr Singh kept the country strong."... The nation was his (Former PM Dr Manmohan Singh) family... The nation has lost a person who kept his family and the whole country strong... We pray that his soul rests in peace," Kalpana Soren told ANI.
The last rites of Dr Manmohan Singh are to be performed at the Nigambodh Ghat in the national capital on Saturday afternoon.
Dr Manmohan Singh passed away at AIIMS, Delhi, on Thursday evening at the age of 92 due to age-related medical conditions. He had a sudden loss of consciousness at home after which he was rushed to the AIIMS Delhi.
