"Reflects commitment of people of Bharat...," West Bengal Governor on 'Pran Prantishtha' of Ram Temple

Kolkata (West Bengal) [India], January 21 : Terming the the Pran Prantishtha ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22 as "momentous event", West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose on Sunday said that this reflects the "commitment of the people of Bharat."
"This reflects the commitment of the people of Bharat. I see this as a momentous event in which India is exposing the spiritual and cultural sublimity of this nation. We are redefining the essence of Bharat which is rooted in the concept of unity and immersing diversity," the West Bengal Governor told ANI.
He further said that India has woken up and the world has realised that we have come to our roots.
"Our roots are definitely what Mahatma Gandhi said, 'Ram Rajya' and what 'Ram Rajya' means--the democratic ethos Gandhi ji himself has defined. Therefore, India, through this event, is rising from its sleep like a giant. Anything that unites the people of India, anything that makes India feel proud of its cultural heritage, is certainly an inspiration for the nation," he added.
The West Bengal Governor said that he sees the event of Pran Pratishtha of Ram Temple as a proud moment for India.
When asked about West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee's leading an interfaith rally across Kolkata on January 22, he said that
"I would request all my brothers and sisters of Bengal to be tolerant and vigilant. We should never allow the miscreants to take us for a ride; beware of disinformation; stand united against violence," he added.
He further replied on the delay in arresting TMC leader Shahjahan Sheikh for the attack on Enforcement Directorate officers during a raid by State government officials and said that the law will take its course.
"I have taken what is an aspect of the Governor in the case of the attack on the ED officials. The law will take its course," he added.
Ayodhya was abuzz with people from across the country landing in Ayodhya Dham ahead of the 'Pran Pratishtha' and the grand opening of the temple on Monday.
Earlier, on Friday, the idol of Ram Lalla, carved by renowned Mysuru sculptor Arun Yogiraj, was placed inside the sanctum sanctorum of the temple.
Covered with a veil, the first photo of the idol was revealed during the placement ceremony in the sanctum sanctorum on January 18.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will preside over the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony, which will be officiated by a complement of priests chosen from across the country. A team of priests is to be led by Lakshami Kant Dixit.
