New Delhi [India], August 30 : Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Manoj Jha on Wednesday alleged that his lecture at Delhi University was cancelled without citing any reasons and urged the Education Ministry to investigate the matter.
Jha, who is a professor at DU Department of Social Work, said he was requested by the Centre for Professional Development in Higher Education to be the resource person for a refresher course in social work and social sciences on September 4
However, he received another letter on Wednesday from CPDHE director Geeta Singh informing him that the lecture had been cancelled due to "some unavoidable circumstances," even though the rest of the program will go on as scheduled.
"I am the Professor of that University. I got a letter on 18th August to take a lecture on 4th September. And this morning a letter came saying that your lecture has been cancelled," he told ANI.
"The programme has not been cancelled; only my lecture is cancelled. I demand to the government that this move of the Centre for Professional Development for Higher Education (CPDHE) should be investigated. I am hurt," he added.
