"Roadmap decided for Jharkhand assembly polls": Congress state Incharge Ghulam Ahmad Mir

New Delhi [India], June 25 : Congress Jharkhand Incharge Ghulam Ahmad Mir on Monday after a meeting with Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge and party leader Rahul Gandhi said that the party has decided the roadmap for the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections.
"Some states have been prioritised after the Lok Sabha elections... 26 senior party leaders come from Jharkhand. The interaction went on with Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge and KC Venugopal for more than 2 hours... The main focus was the upcoming assembly election in Jharkhand... We have decided the roadmap for the elections," Mir told reporters.
Earlier, the Congress held a meeting with the senior leader of Jharkhand at the AICC Headquarters in the national capital.
"An important meeting related to Jharkhand was held today at the AICC Headquarters in Delhi in the presence of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi and Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal. Senior leaders of INC Jharkhand were present in this meeting," Congress posted on X.
Jharkhand Congress President Rajesh Thakur said that the mantra for ensuring the victory was given by Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge and KC Venugopal in the meeting
"The discussion that usually takes place before the elections was done today... There are going to be elections in 3-4 states including Jharkhand... Mantra for ensuring the victory was given by Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge and KC Venugopal," Thakur said.
Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge after the meeting said that the party is dedicated to the rights of all sections of Jharkhand.
"The Congress Party is fully dedicated to the rights of all sections of Jharkhand including water, forest, land and tribal society. By doing conspiratorial politics, the BJP has insulted the identity of Jharkhand. Every Congress worker has to remain among the public for the upcoming assembly elections. We are all committed to social justice and participation. Today we discussed the election strategy with the leaders of the Jharkhand Congress," Kharge posted on X.
Along with Jharkhand, Haryana, Maharashtra will also undergo the Assembly elections this year.
In the Lok Sabha elections, the Congress bagged two seats in the State, while its ally Jharkhand Mukti Morcha secured three seats. The State's Opposition BJP along with its partner AJSU Party got nine of the total 14 seats.
