Patna (Bihar) [India], July 6 : Refuting the claims of former Bihar Chief Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) Chief Chirag Paswan said on Saturday that the strength of the NDA-led central government under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi will be maintained for the next five years.
Lalu Yadav claimed that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government at the Centre, which came to power last month, could fall by August and elections could happen anytime.
"Their cadre could not prepare even in 10 years. The result is in front of everyone. They are saying this just to keep their party workers occupied. On behalf of the NDA, I can say that the strength of our government under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi will be maintained for the next five years and many strong and bold decisions will be taken which will be supported by all parties of the NDA," the LJP chief said.
Earlier, Union Minister Nityanand Rai on Friday said that the RJD chief is "daydreaming," adding that the people of Bihar don't want "jungle Raj" in the state.
"Lalu Prasad Yadav is daydreaming. By making Narendra Modi the Prime Minister for the third time, the people of the country and Bihar have expressed their wish that PM Modi is the true son of India and can take the country forward. The people of Bihar believe in PM Modi, Nitish Kumar, and the NDA-BJP; they do not want jungle raj," Nityanand Rai told reporters on Friday.
The RJD chief asserted that the NDA government is "weak," adding that the elections could happen anytime.
"I appeal to all party workers to be ready, as elections can happen anytime. Modi's government in Delhi is very weak and it can fall by August, and an INDIA bloc government will be formed in the country," Lalu Yadav said, speaking at the RJD's foundation day event.
Lalu Yadav made these remarks while addressing party workers on the Rashtriya Janata Dal's foundation day on Friday. He further expressed satisfaction with the party's performance in the Lok Sabha elections of 2024.
The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance has won its third successive term in the Lok Sabha polls. The NDA won 293 seats in the Lok Sabha polls, with the BJP securing 240 seats.
