Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], August 26 : Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy laid the foundation stone for Hare Krishna Tower with a height of 430 feet in Kokapet.
"The Chief Minister @revanth_anumula made it clear that the conservation of ponds by HYDRA has been undertaken as a huge responsibility for the public interest and the benefit of future generations and there is no political pressure involved. He said that the city of Hyderabad, which flourished as a lake city, would be brought back to its former glory. He added that if the natural resources are not protected, we will have to face disasters and if the survival of future generations is not in question, strict measures must be taken in the present. Bhagavad Gita is inspired by Lord Krishna as the guide for the conservation of ponds The Chief Minister said that it is considered as protection of Dharma," Telangana CMO posted on X.
Telangana CM stated that Hyderabad was a city of ponds due to the efforts of rulers less than a century ago but today people have started exploiting the city by making farmhouses in the vicinity of ponds and polluting water bodies by releasing wastewater into them.
"Less than a century ago #Hyderabad was developed as a city of ponds (lake city) by the rulers. In the vicinity of the ponds which quenched the thirst of crores of people, now some people are building farmhouses for their own luxury and releasing waste water. If we ignore these, it will be useless to be public representatives. Our government is waging war against the encroachment of ponds inspired by Lord Krishna's teachings to Arjuna in the context of the Kurukshetra war. It is not for political parties. We are moving forward with the will to make things better for future generations. In the case of HYDRA, no one cares how much pressure is put on it. In the spirit of Lord Krishna's teachings to protect Dharma, our government will stand for Dharma," said Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy while addressing the foundation puja of Anantasesha said that through the Hare Krishna Heritage Building in the Kokapet area, which has become a concrete jungle, spirituality will spread to the whole world and it was a blessing to participate in such a great event. He added that the cooperation of the Hare Krishna Foundation will be taken to provide meals in Osmania, Gandhi, Nims and other government hospitals.
Notably, along with the Chief Minister, state ministers, many public representatives, organisers of the Hare Krishna movement and devotees participated in the foundation puja of Anantasesha.
