Telangana CM Revanth Reddy to chair meeting of Collectors, SPs on Dec 24

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], December 23 : In a significant move towards bolstering governance at the grassroots level, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy is scheduled to convene a meeting of district collectors and SPs on December 24.
During the conference, special directives will be given to officials for the swift implementation of the six guarantees within the next 100 days, according to official sources.
The meeting is scheduled to start at 10 am on Sunday and will see the participation of Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, along with ministers, secretaries of various departments, and concerned officials.
As per the sources, the Chief Minister will give directions on undertaking 'Praja Palana' (people's governance), aiming to improve government performance and accountability while extending the benefits of good governance to the impoverished and marginalised sections of society.
This initiative, part of the state government's commitment to reaching governance at the village level, also seeks to rectify errors committed by the previous administration.
CM Revanth Reddy has been organising 'Prajavani' sessions, addressing people's grievances, at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Praja Bhavan every Tuesday and Friday.
The Chief Minister is set to unveil an action plan outlining the organised expansion of 'Prajavani' programmes at the district, mandal, and village levels during the meeting, the sources said.
Deputy Collectors will also be attending the meeting.
The instructions to organise 'Praja Palana Grama Sabhas' at all gram panchayats and municipal wards for eight working days from December 28 to January 6, 2024 will be given during the meeting.
Local Sarpanches, Corporators, Councillors and other public representatives will participate in the 'Praja Palana' programme, as per the sources.
