Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], November 17 : In a reaction to the Congress party releasing their manifesto ahead of the Telangana polls, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) OBC Morcha president K Laxman said that people are not trusting the party's manifesto as they are fed up with them.
"The people are not trusting the Congress manifesto announced by party president Mallikarjun Kharge because they are fed up with them. People have voted for the Congress 11 times. They have only guaranteed dynastic politics, corruption and appeasement politics," Laxman said while speaking to ANI on Friday.
Pointing out the state of farmers and unemployed youth in Karnataka where the Congress was elected to power recently, the BJP OBC leader said, "Look at Karnataka, people are doomed whether farmers or unemployed youths. They had spoken about giving Rs 3000 to unemployed youths. It has been six months since they have come to power and they have not received a single notification. Farmers are facing so many problems. There is no electricity even for five hours."
Laxam said that Telangana people will not believe in Congress as they are 'intelligent'.
"People are intelligent in Telangana. They will never believe in the Congress," he said.
The Congress released its manifesto for the November 30 Telangana assembly elections on Friday. Under the 'Mahalakshmi' scheme, the party promised to give Rs 2,500 monthly financial assistance, gas cylinders at Rs 500 and free travel for women.
Under the Gruha Jyothi scheme, 200 units of free electricity will be provided to all households. Rs five lakh will be given under the 'Indiramma Indlu' scheme for the construction of houses for those families who do not own one.
