Telangana: Teenager sexually assaulted in Hyderabad, police case registered

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], June 25 : A group of persons allegedly sexually assaulted and raped a 13-year-old girl multiple times over a period at Neredmet in Hyderabad, police said on Tuesday.
Acting on a complaint filed by the mother of the survivor at Kachiguda Police Station on Monday, a case has been registered and a probe has been initiated.
Sub-inspector of Kachiguda Police Station, Subhash, said, "Yesterday, the victim's mother gave a complaint about five people. The girl is a native of Kachiguda and has a boyfriend who stays in Neredmet. Her boyfriend took her outside many times on a bike. One day her boyfriend allegedly sexually assaulted her at Neredmet."
"After some days he introduced his friends to her and they also sexually assaulted her. A case has been registered and an investigation is going on," the police official said.
Earlier, an 18-year-old youth allegedly raped a 5-year-old girl in the town of Narasaraopeta in Palnadu district of Andhra Pradesh.
The girl's parents filed a complaint with the Narasaraopet rural police station in this regard on Monday.
The police have registered a case under the POCSO Act against the accused who was identified as Chandu. Narasaraopet rural sub inspector Rossayya said that the accused is absconding and efforts are on to trace him.
